Garth Stevens, Jr. M.D. is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract, corneal and refractive surgery.  He is a corneal specialist which means he specializes in the part of the eye that is treated by LASIK and other types of refractive surgery.  He also specializes in ocular and immunology diseases of the eye.

Because of his training and experience, he receives referrals from other eye specialists for both routine and complex surgery, as well as many referrals from patients. 

In 2000, Dr. Stevens opened his own practice with the vision to ensure that patients received quality medical care in a very caring environment.  LASIK Center of Virginia is owned and operated by Garth Stevens, Jr., M.D.  He began performing LASIK in 1996.  He has performed over three thousand procedures.  He has trained hundreds of eye surgeons throughout the United States, Canada and China to perform LASIK.  He's been honored with being listed in "The Best Doctors in America" and has served as President of the Virginia Society of Ophthalmology.
