AFTER YOUR LASIK TREATMENT
Follow up treatment is as important as the actual treatment. You will need to visit your doctor the day following your LASIK treatment. This is to ensure your eye is healing properly and to check the corneal flap. The 2 week visit is to check vision, then we will plan on seeing you in 6 weeks for a dilated exam. We will be checking your visual stability at all of these visits.
It is very important to use your eye drops. We us an antibiotic and an anti-inflammatory drop to protect against infection and inflammation. Immediately after surgery use your drops every 2 hours while you're awake. Do not wake up in the middle of the night to put drops in. Artificial tears are provided for your comfort, use them when your eyes feel dry.
You may call our office anytime should you have questions or concerns. To reach the physician on call after hours, just call our office and our answering service can take your message and page the doctor on call.
